How to Give a Nickname to a Friend on Steam

When you have a large number of friends on Steam, it can be tricky to remember their usernames, especially if they change them frequently. For this reason, Steam includes an option that allows you to give each friend a nickname. When you give a friend a nickname, instead of their username, the nickname you gave them will be displayed.

2. Click on FRIENDS & CHAT
3. Click on the arrow next to the name of the friend you want to give a nickname to
4. Click on Manage and then on Add Nickname
5. Enter a nickname in the Enter a nickname field and click on Confirm
