Unturned
Unturned is a free game for Windows 7, 8, and 10, which comes to us from the FunLabs studio. You find yourself in the role of a zombie apocalypse survivor, who must collect food, equipment, and weapons to survive in a world where the majority of the population wants to eat your brain. You can play the game solo or online.
Graphics
If you’ve ever seen Minecraft you’ll be familiar with the graphic style of Unturned. Everything is made up of cubes over which textures are drawn. Some people don’t like this art style, while others adore it. Whichever group you belong to, the fact is that this game will work without problems on old computers.
As for the look of the game itself, the world is colorful and diverse. Here you will find everything from big cities, villages, and resorts, to forests and meadows. The textures have little detail, but this is not a criticism, as they are beautiful and pleasant to look at.
The problem is that the world often gives the impression that you are playing a video game. The cities, which are in ruins, look like they were made just for you to run in and shoot zombies in. For example, when you enter the hospital, you will come across zombies in hospital uniforms, and there will be rooms with hospital beds in them. The problem is that everything looks like it was made by a computer. There is no feeling that the building was ever functional, much less that it served as a hospital. You will come across examples like this non-stop.
Gameplay
Unturned is a game that belongs to the open-world survival genre, which means that you are in a world where you are free to go wherever you want, and your goal is to survive. You will need to take care of hunger, thirst, and fatigue. You will explore abandoned buildings in search of better equipment, weapons, ammunition, materials, and groceries, and you can also build your own base or repurpose existing buildings.
In this aspect, we were not thrilled with the game either. The first, and main, the problem is that the game will not give you any goal, except to simply survive. When it comes to this genre, we are used to having a goal to which we aspire. Often this goal is very simple, kill the main villain or find all the pages of a mystical book. This goal is there to give us a reason to explore and improve our character. There is no goal here, other than exploring out of pure curiosity, but this quickly becomes boring.
In addition, the weapons you use are stiff and uncomfortable to use. Melee weapons are almost unusable and apart from the relentless clicking, there are no tactics when using them. Killing zombies quickly becomes boring, and in a game about zombies and killing them, this is a very big problem.

Conclusion
Unturned is a game that can appeal to a certain type of player, and with 25,000 players daily on Steam, there are a lot of them. Still, there are many other games that do everything Unturned does but much better. Since the game is free, we suggest you try it, you have nothing to lose.
