INCI Beauty – Check the Ingredients of the Cosmetic Products You Use
We all use cosmetic products, but how many of us really know what’s in them? We all assume that government regulatory bodies take care of this and will not allow an unsafe product to appear on the market, but we all know that in reality this is not the case. For this reason, it’s important to know what’s in the products you use, and that’s exactly what the application we’re going to present to you does.
INCI Beauty is a free application for Android and iOS that will allow you to quickly and easily check the ingredients of the cosmetic products you use.
How Does INCI Beauty Work?
Once you install and launch the INCI Beauty app, you will see a nice and clean user interface. The app includes an option to sign in with a free or Google account, but this is not necessary to use INCI Beauty.
As we mentioned, INCI Beauty will allow you to check the ingredients of cosmetic products, and using it is more than simple. You can search for products by manually typing in the product name, but there is a better and faster way. Tap on the Scan a barcode option and the camera on your phone will turn on.
Now, point the camera at the barcode of the product you want to check and after a few moments a new menu will appear where you can see what ingredients are in that product. Note that you must be connected to the internet for this to work.
As for the data itself, you’ll have a list of all ingredients, as well as a list of ingredients broken down by how harmful each ingredient is. In addition to this, you will be able to read user comments for each product and where you can buy the product. If you want to save a product, you can add it to the Favorites list, where it will always be easily accessible.
There isn’t much in the settings, and you’ll mostly be able to adjust what’s shown on the app’s main screen. What caught our attention is the fact that the INCI Beauty app has been translated into quite a number of languages, 18 at the time of writing this review.
If there is no data in the application for the product on which you scanned the barcode, you can add it by taking a picture of the product’s packaging and the list of ingredients. After verification by the author of the application, the product will be added.
