LyriTunes – Artificial Intelligence That Writes Songs

Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly entering all areas of life. Today, we have AI that answers questions, impersonates celebrities, paints artwork, and more. However, in some areas, the works of artificial intelligence are at a much higher level than in others.

LyriTunes is a free application for Android and iOS that, using artificial intelligence, will write songs for you on the topic you give it.

How Does LyriTunes Work?

Once you install and launch LyriTunes you will see a simple and good-looking user interface. On the main screen, you will be greeted with a list of songs created by users using this application, which have received the most likes.

At the bottom of the screen, there is a button with a plus sign, which when you press it will open a menu where you can set the parameters based on which LyriTunes will write a song for you. As with all programs and applications that use AI, it is extremely simple to use.

At the top, there is a field where you can enter the text that will describe what the song should be about. Below you can choose the style the song will be in, as well as the tone of the song, happy, sad, angry, and default. You can also set the length of the song. Once you’ve filled all this out, press the Get Lyrics button and the app will write a song based on the given parameters.

The main question now is what quality of songs does LyriTunes write? In our opinion, not that good. The songs will, of course, be meaningful and follow the given parameters, but once you get a few songs you’ll notice that they’re often very similar, that is, they’ll use the same lines and similar phrases that rhyme easily.

Another option that LyriTunes contains is the ability for the application to add music and a voice that will sing the song. This is an interesting option, but here too the quality will be at a low level. The music is generic, unlike the voice that sings the song, which we really liked.

LyriTunes Won’t Write a Hit, but It’s Extremely Fun

LyriTunes won’t write you a hit, so you won’t become a famous songwriter overnight. Honestly, it seems to us that this is not the purpose of the application, the purpose is entertainment. What we liked the most was to give the artificial intelligence very serious topics, and then tell it to write a poem in the style of a five-year-old. If you look at the app this way, we’re sure it will provide you with hours of fun. We didn’t encounter any problems or bugs while using it, so LyriTunes gets our recommendation.
