What is FileBrowser?

FileBrowser can be hosted locally or in the cloud. After installation, FileBrowser is launched with the command: filebrowser -r /path/to/folder, and is then available at the following address and port: http://localhost:8080.

FileBrowser is a multi-user application, and each user can have different permissions for viewing and managing files. Access to the application is password-protected. The application is modularly designed. All API functionalities can be accessed through the web interface. Interface settings are basic and limited to choosing between grid and list views, as well as light and dark themes.
