Listy is a free list-making app with a minimalist approach and a strong emphasis on aesthetics. It is available for iOS and, more recently, for Android.

Listy is a simple app that pays special attention to the visual appeal of the user interface. Each list can be assigned a name, color, and icon to make them easier to distinguish. Lists can also be categorized by theme. A built-in category called Links helps save interesting articles for later reading.

Lists can be sorted by category, creation date, or manually. Each list can have a different sorting method. To find the desired content more easily, filters can also be applied. For better tracking, specific items and lists can be marked as completed, read, or already watched.

Listy works even without an internet connection. All data is stored locally on the device. Only the iOS version includes options for sharing lists and syncing via iCloud, as well as adding items via voice (Siri integration). To quickly access important lists, widgets can be used on the home screen.

Import and export are supported in JSON or LISTY format. Created content can be displayed in grid or list view. A dark mode is available for more comfortable use in low-light conditions. The developers have also announced plans to create a desktop version of the app.

No account is required to use the app. During testing, we noticed no ads. According to the developers, data is not shared with third parties. Listy launches quickly and responds instantly to user actions, regardless of the amount of content being handled.

It lacks advanced features that many similar apps offer, such as reminders, subtasks, and integrations with other services. There is also a Listy+ version with more features, which requires a subscription or a one-time purchase. The app comes with several pre-made lists to inspire and encourage you to start creating your own.

The app’s possibilities are quite broad. It can be used to make lists of books or movies to read/watch, tasks to complete, groceries to buy, notes of any kind, and much more.

Listy belongs to that group of apps that do one thing – but do it well. It’s designed for anyone who needs a fast list-making tool and prefers a simple and elegant visual style.
