How to Turn Seen Status on or off in WhatsApp
When someone sends you a message and you open that message, a Seen status will be sent, that is, a notification that you have opened the message. If you do not want other users to receive a notification when you open their messages, you can turn this off in the settings. However, if you turn off this option, you won’t be able to see when someone opens your message either.
