TickTick – The Organizer That Makes Tasks Simple
TickTick is a free task and time management application for organizing tasks, setting goals, and consequently increasing productivity. It’s available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, as an extension for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and as a web service. It’s even made for Apple Watch, naturally with limited functionality.
What is TickTick?
TickTick is created with a simple and logical user interface. This makes the learning process quick. New tasks can be added not only textually but also through voice inputs. Thus, a lot of work can be done with mobile applications.
The app allows creating various types of lists to create tasks and subtasks. Deadlines can be set for each task individually. Tags facilitate the organization of tasks. There are also notifications so that nothing is forgotten. A calendar is included in the app for a clearer visual approach. This way, entire projects can be tracked.
Kanban boards are also present – a visual tool for managing work and processes. They consist of a board divided into columns representing work phases and cards that move and represent individual tasks or work items. They originate from the famous Japanese company Toyota. Kanban boards can be adapted to different processes and industries, allowing teams to better manage their work and continuously improve it.
Data is synchronized across all devices in real-time. TickTick is integrated with tools such as Outlook and Gmail. Users can personalize their work environment by choosing themes, sound effects, and data display methods. A habit tracking function is built-in, where users can set goals and track their progress in various aspects, whether it’s exercise, learning, or any other activity that requires regularity. To increase work concentration as much as possible, a Pomodoro Timer is built-in, while a notepad exists for quick idea input.
In addition to synchronization, the app has the ability to share lists and tasks with other users. This makes TickTick a good tool for teamwork and joint projects. Users can assign tasks to other team members, track progress, and leave comments. Data security is enhanced through two-factor authentication and SSL encryption.
Who needs TickTick?
TickTick is a free app in its basic version and as such has gained great popularity.
