By default, Windows 10 will automatically delete data from the Recycle Bin and the Downloads folder. However, you can change this or turn it off completely in the settings.

  2. In the search field, type storage, then click on the first result obtained
  3. Click on Configure Storage Sense or run it now
  4. In the Temporary Files section, turn off deletion like in the video. The upper option is for the Recycle Bin, and the lower one is for the Downloads folder.
