Many people like rain. While for some this natural phenomenon is a reason to feel gloomy and depressed, for others, rain is a source of peace and relaxation. If you are in the latter category, you probably remember rainy days when it is easier for you to concentrate at work or while studying.

OK.It’s.Raining.Men is a free program for Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11 that will create the rain falling in the pond effect over your monitor.

How Does OK.It’s.Raining.Men Work?

OK.It’s.Raining.Men is a portable program. This means there is no installation and all you have to do is download and run it. When you run it, rain falling in the pond effect will appear over your screen, and when you move the mouse, it will look like a boat leaving tracks in the water. This effect is not only visible on the desktop, but is drawn across all running programs.

There is only one menu for managing the program, which is nice looking, well organized, and supports 26 languages. Here you can adjust almost every aspect of the visual effect the program produces.

First, you can set whether the rain effect will be visible everywhere or only on the desktop, and you can also turn off the effect when the mouse is moving. In addition to this, you can fine-tune the intensity of the rain, transparency and you can also determine the quality of the effects, which is great if you have an older computer.

Apart from this, you can choose whether the program will run together with Windows, as well as specify a keyboard shortcut or the condition under which the program will start or stop. We especially liked this because you can set it so that when you move the mouse, that is, when you’re doing something on the computer, the effect stops, and it starts again when you’re not using the computer.

The only, albeit pretty big, criticism that we have is that we didn’t like the look of the rain effect at all. The first problem is that it looks quite ugly, especially when the background is white. The concentric circles, which are supposed to represent raindrops falling on water, look like bubbles, and it seems to us that they are in low resolution, although the quality of the effect was set to maximum.

OK.It’s.Raining.Men Is an Interesting Program, but We Didn’t Like It

OK.It’s.Raining.Men is an interesting program, which works perfectly and without errors. Unfortunately, it contains a fatal flaw, which is that the effect it produces does not look good, and this, you will agree, is the most important thing. Although we have no criticism from the technical side, because of this we cannot recommend the program.
