7+ Taskbar Tweaker

7+ Taskbar Tweaker

The taskbar is an essential part of Windows, and it is one of the best tools we use to manage running programs. With it, we can quickly navigate between the programs, we have the Start button that allows us to launch programs and the System Tray, which contains the clock and icons of programs running in the background, and in Windows 10, there is also the search field.

The options we have, although very good, can always be better. Introducing 7+ Taskbar Tweaker, a free program for Windows 7, 8, and 10 that allows us to further customize Taskbar features.

What is a 7+ Taskbar Tweaker?

7+ Taskbar Tweaker is a small program that contains only one window, but the features it offers can make using Windows much faster and easier. There is nothing too complicated about this program. The problem is that the options it contains are not very well explained, so it can be difficult for beginners to understand them.

Program options are divided into three groups. The first group includes all options related to mouse buttons and running program tabs, the second group deal with grouping and combining, and the third group includes other Taskbar settings. The standard options are labeled Default, so you can always restore everything as it was, so you can try the options it offers without fear.

We liked the option to turn off running programs by clicking on the mouse wheel, similar to closing tabs in the browse. By default, this opens a new instance of the program, which is very rarely used, and in many programs, it is not even possible.

We especially liked the option to minimize all programs by clicking the mouse wheel on an empty space. If you have two or more monitors, clicking the “Show desktop” button can be inconvenient because, if you are not careful, you will click the Start button on the second monitor. If you enable this option, there is also an option to hide the “Show desktop” button.

Another fantastic option is setting what happens when you double-click an empty space on the Taskbar, for example, to start Task Manager or turn off all sounds. By default, nothing will happen. Another handy option is that you can rotate the mouse wheel to increase or decrease the volume when you are hovering the mouse over the Taskbar.

Conclusion

7+ Taskbar Tweaker is a great program, and we really liked it. It contains a lot of useful and interesting features. We suggest that you try it. We assure you that you will find at least a few settings that you will like.
