How Does Bass Boost: HD Audio Work?

When you install the Bass Boost: HD Audio plugin, its icon will appear in the upper right corner of the Internet browser. As we mentioned, this plugin will allow you to boost the bass when listening to music in Google Chrome.

By default, the plugin will be disabled, and you will have to manually enable it in each tab separately. There is no option for the plugin to always run. This is not such a big problem because if you are not listening to music, this plugin will only spoil the sound quality and in such cases, it should not be used.

You activate the plugin by clicking on its icon, after which a menu will open with the Boost Bass option that activates the plugin. However, when you turn on the plugin, you won’t notice any change. This is because the plugin will be set to the Default option, which does not boost the bass at all.

In order to increase the bass, you need to select the gain level from the drop-down menu. It can be High, Very High, and Insane. There is also an option to choose the bass volume yourself by moving the slider that appears if you select the Custom option. The last option is Chipmunks, which turns all voices into the voices of the famous chipmunks from the cartoon.

During testing, we noticed that the High option is quite sufficient for most genres of music, and if you choose a higher level, the sound quality may be worse. This, of course, depends on the quality of the speakers you use, and if you have the most common computer speakers or speakers that are integrated into your laptop, it is best to completely bypass this plugin.

Bass Boost: HD Audio doesn’t have a settings section, and the only things you can adjust, other than bass volume, are dark and light themes. Besides this, you can only report a bug and write a review.

Bass Boost: HD Audio is a great plugin, but to really use it, you need to have quality speakers. This is not a plugin problem and there is nothing the developers can do to fix this. We didn’t encounter any problems or bugs while using it, so Bass Boost: HD Audio gets our recommendation.
