How to Delete a Contact From WhatsApp on Android

If you want to delete a contact from WhatsApp, this option does not exist in the application. The reason is that WhatsApp stores contacts on the phone and not in the app and the process of deleting a contact is not immediately obvious.

2. Open WhatsApp and tap the button to write a new message
3. Tap on the contact you want to delete
4. Tap on the contact’s name
5. Tap on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner of the screen
6. Tap on View in address book
7. Tap on the three vertical dots in the lower right corner of the screen
8. Tap on Delete contact
9. Check the I’ve read and understand option and tap on DELETE
