How to download and use Google Maps offline on Android
The Google Maps app has definitely changed the world. There is no more fear of big, unknown cities, nor wandering the secluded streets searching for an address that is simply not where it should be, not to mention information about objects or public transport stops. All this, of course, if you have internet access.
Although we have mobile internet on our phones today, you can still run into this problem if you travel or run out of free megabytes. That’s why Google Maps has the option to download the map and use it when you’re offline.
All the functions you have when you use the map normally will also be available with offline maps. You will be able to zoom in and out, turn on the navigation, and see all the objects or public transport information.
Downloading and using Google Maps offline on Android is very easy, and we’ve made a detailed video showing you how to do this.
