If you often upload files that are in, for example, Microsoft Office or some other format to Google Drive and run them using Google’s office programs, it would be convenient if those files were automatically converted to Google Docs format. The good news is that there is an option for this and all you have to do is turn it on in the settings.

2. Go to the Google website and sign in to your account
3. Open Google Drive
4. Click on the gear icon
5. Click on Settings
6. Turn on the option: Convert uploads to Google Decs editor format
