How to Remove Cell Formatting in Google Sheets

Formatting cells in Google Sheets is a handy way to highlight certain cells, and it can also help make the document look nicer. However, when someone sends you a Sheets document, sometimes you want to remove formatting from specific cells or the entire document.

  2. To remove formatting from just one cell, select the cell you want to remove formatting from
  3. Click on Format
  4. Click on Clear formatting
  5. To remove formatting from more than one cell, select the cells you want to remove formatting from
  6. Click on Format, then click on Clear formatting
  7. To remove formatting from an entire table, select the entire table by pressing CRTL + A on your keyboard
  8. Click on Format, then click on Clear formatting
