How to Remove Cell Formatting in Google Sheets
Formatting cells in Google Sheets is a handy way to highlight certain cells, and it can also help make the document look nicer. However, when someone sends you a Sheets document, sometimes you want to remove formatting from specific cells or the entire document.

- To remove formatting from just one cell, select the cell you want to remove formatting from
- Click on Format
- Click on Clear formatting
- To remove formatting from more than one cell, select the cells you want to remove formatting from
- Click on Format, then click on Clear formatting
- To remove formatting from an entire table, select the entire table by pressing CRTL + A on your keyboard
- Click on Format, then click on Clear formatting
