How to Write Strikethrough, Bold and Italic Text on a YouTube Comment

YouTube allows you to make text in comments bold, italic and strikethrough. This way you can highlight part of the comments so that they are better visible. This will work in the internet browser of the computer, as well as in the application and the internet browser of the mobile phone.

  2. To write strikethrough text, place a hyphen ( – ) in front of and behind the text you want to strikethrough
  3. To write bold text, put an asterisk ( * ) before and after the text you want to bold
  4. To write italic text, put an underscore ( _ ) before and after the text you want to make italic
