How to Change Monitor Refresh Rate on Windows 10

The refresh rate of the monitor is how many times per second the monitor updates the image on the screen, and the higher the refresh rate, the more pleasant it is to look at the screen. Windows automatically sets every monitor to 60Hz, and if your monitor supports a higher refresh rate, you will have to increase it yourself in the settings.

  2. Click on Start and then on Settings
  3. Click on System
  4. Under Display, click on Advanced display settings
  5. If you have more than one monitor, select which monitor you want to set up
  6. Open the drop-down list under Refresh rate and select a refresh rate you want to use (we suggest you select the highest refresh rate)
  7. Click on Keep changes
