iMacros – Automate Repetitive Tasks

Anyone who uses a computer for professional purposes is likely to encounter repetitive tasks on a daily basis, such as filling out forms or writing the same emails. It would be phenomenal if there was a way to automate such jobs. In the past, it was necessary to seek the services of a programmer for something like this, but today there are programs that do not require any prior knowledge from the user.

iMacros is a free plugin for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers, which will give you an easy way to automate repetitive tasks on your computer.

How Does iMacros Work?

When you install the iMacros plugin, its icon will appear in the upper right corner of your internet browser. Clicking on this icon will open the main menu of the program, which is nice and clear.

iMacros works on a simple principle. In the program menu, start recording by clicking the Record Macro button. After this, you need to do the action you want to automate. It can be anything, filling out a form, downloading PDF documents, copying images, or a web address, the only restriction is that the action must be done within an Internet browser.

After this, every time you want to repeat the recorded action, simply play the recording and the whole process will be repeated, exactly as you recorded it. This way you can automate anything provided that repeating the process requires exactly the same steps. You can save, rename and organize recorded actions into folders and subfolders, so it’s easy to navigate.

The two great options that iMacros has are Play Repeatedly and Play Loop. Play Repeatedly will repeat the recorded action until you stop it, and Play Loop will allow you to set how many times the action will be repeated.

There are already a few recorded actions in the program, but they are there purely to show you some of the features of iMacros, and we recommend that you try them out. The program is extremely easy to use, and you are limited only by your imagination. That’s why it’s not a bad idea to look at already recorded actions because they can inspire you on how to use the program.

iMacros Is a Great Program That Can Be Irreplaceable for Certain Users

We really liked iMacros and it has our recommendation. It is very easy to use and we did not encounter any errors during use. The biggest drawback is that if you need to automate an action that requires work outside of the Internet browser, this will not be possible.
