Google Analytics is a service provided by Google that gives website owners insight into who is visiting their website, whether everything is well optimized and a handful of other helpful information. This service is very important and is used by most websites.

When you install Block Yourself from Analytics plugin, its icon will appear in the upper right corner of your internet browser. The plugin works on a simple principle. When you visit your website, click on the plugin icon and it will open a menu with only three options.

The first option is Block Analytics from this website and as you can guess, this will block Google Analytics from the website you are currently on. The second option is Options, and the third is to contact the author.

Among the settings, there are also only a few options. We can view a list of all the websites we block, as well as delete a website from this list, import or export a list of blocked websites, and a few more minor options. We really liked the fact that there is no need for any settings to use the plugin and that everything works automatically.

Now, if like us, you thought that with this plugin you can block any website and thus disable tracking, we will have to disappoint you. The authors disclaim that Block Yourself from Analytics is used for the purpose of blocking users from all websites and that this will be considered a misuse of this plugin. We don’t know how they plan to implement this, but we suggest you look for some other way to protect your privacy, there are much better solutions for that anyway.
